We will try to set it up like this. Each of us will take a turn writing a bit about what is going on in our lives right now. Hopefully, this will provide you with a good idea of our married life together. Thanks in advance for reading!
Nate - Well, today was the first of many big days. Three weeks out from our wedding, I have now moved into the apartment we will live in once we are married. Hope will move in after the wedding. As is required of days when people move, the temperature went up about 10 degrees, and its a balmy 85 outside. It makes me glad we didn't attempt this in July or some similar time. There's still a lot of unpacking to get done, but the guest room (where I'll be sleeping for now) is mostly unpacked. That is, the bed is made, and my clothes are hung up. That's good enough for now. We are very blessed to have a lot of great friends who helped us lug boxes and furniture up to the third floor of our apartment building, and also to have other friends who donated some nice, ugly newlywed furniture to our apartment. Needless to say, we are both pretty spent. Still, it feels really good to finally have this done; I had been dreading it for a while. Hope was a huge difference-maker. She was able to keep me focused in the face of this rather large task. This is a good thing, as I have a tendency to seize up and not work at ALL when presented with a big task like moving across town. Anyway, I think I'll pass this thing off to Hope now, and let her share whatever is on her mind. Thanks for reading!
Hope - It's me: Hope Almost-Owens. We're pretty excited about our new apartment. Now, we just have to get me moved in! That won't be a big deal. I think we'll just move boxes in every once in a while in the next three weeks. It's going to be a cute, little home. One of my biggest desires for the time being is getting rid of the mothball smell. It is not very welcoming, but I think Wallflowers will do the trick! Oh, btw, the couch and love seat that Nate mentioned is hideous. But, we like it. We may cover it at some point, but for now, the brown, black, tan, and off-white yarny plaid will work for us. I'll try to add a pic some time soon, but my camera battery just died. One thing that's really neat about this place is there is a pretty, white-flowering tree right outside of all of or windows. It shades things nicely. I'm sure the flowers will go some time this summer, but it's pretty for now. In any case, I think that's all for now. Peace out!
