9 days out...

Nate here. Hope and I are now just under 9 days before we take the plunge. Everyone asks if I'm nervous, but I don't really see any reason to be. We have most of our wedding whatsits tied up right now, and we are kind of playing the waiting game. I personally really like our new apartment, although it's not without its little charms; the light in the kitchen doesn't always light properly (what is this, the dark ages?), and the plumbing makes a nice little honking noise when I flush the toilet. As a matter of fact, I went the other day, and it kept on honking. I thought it might have been a tornado siren, but I turned on the shower tap, and that took care of it. Ahh, what character!

Seriously though, things are going well. We're pretty busy, but we're holding together alright. I anticipated being much busier at this point, so that's kind of a relief. Let me hand this off to Hope now, and let her share a little.

I'm pretty excited that I get to pick up my dress from its steaming tomorrow. Then, I have a fitting with a friend from choir who's going to bustle it. I'm very grateful to her and the other cool people who have agreed to help with the wedding. Another lady from our small group has taken it upon herself to make all of the pew bows. (Funny thing, if you say pew bow fast it sounds like pube-o's, which makes for some completely different and confusing conversation.) She's even making twice as many as I had asked so that the huge sanctuary won't look too empty. How nice, right? Other than that, I'm going to be mostly moving out of my place. I've sold my bed and hope to sell my washer and dryer. Things are moving along. Imagine, tomorrow it's 8 days, then 7, then 6 and so forth. Amazing! The days are shrinking. Crazy! Ok, that's all. Thanks. Bye.
